Jay Ellmyer
Founder & Director
Jay Ellmyer, the 2022 AVCA National Beach Club Director of the Year, has been coaching for over a decade and is the visionary founder of Sandstorm Beach Volleyball. Driven by a passion for developing the next generation of elite beach athletes, Jay has built Sandstorm into one of the premier training programs in the country. His extensive experience running tournaments and college clinics nationwide has given him a unique perspective, allowing him to learn from and collaborate with top collegiate and professional coaches. As Club Director, Jay oversees all training operations, ensuring a high-quality, competitive, and athlete-focused program.

Wayne Holly
Lead Coach
Head Coach & Current College Recruiting Consultant Wayne Holly brings over a decade of elite coaching experience at the collegiate and national levels. As the Head Beach Volleyball Coach at Tulane University (2013-2019), he led the program to six consecutive nationally ranked seasons, achieved over 100 career wins, and guided multiple AVCA All-Americans and national championship contenders. He has also coached at Georgia State and Brown University, along with extensive experience with USA Volleyball’s Beach High Performance and Junior National Teams. A recognized leader in coaching education, Wayne has contributed to USA Volleyball’s BCAP program and serves on national committees for collegiate beach volleyball rankings and All-American selections.

Cody Ellmyer
Coach
Coach Cody Ellmyer is a current player competing professionally both domestic and internationally. Training with the USA National Team Development program, he has honed his skills both as a player and coach.
In his coaching career, Cody has coached multiple national champions, current division 1 Starters, and countless college commits.

Kenny Faychak
Coach
Kenny Faychak, a 2022 Sandstorm alum, is a current collegiate player at UT Chattanooga. As both a player and coach at Sandstorm, she brings firsthand experience and deep knowledge of the detailed systems we teach. During her time at UT Chattanooga, Kenny has earned over 50 career wins while maintaining a positive record, competing primarily in the top three lines.
